Testimonial.

Hi Graeme

Many thanks for seeing me on Friday regarding my ‘dicky’ shoulder.
I was really surprised to find that on Saturday morning there was little pain and that I had had an uninterrupted sleep.  Thank you!
Many thanks for an excellent service.
Kind regards
Paul Bush

Sports and Remedial Massage also available.

Using a range of techniques we are able to provide pain relief as well as improvements in function and range of movement.

Following your Initial Consultation your chiropractor will run through your recommended treatment plan and explain how long they think it will take for you to improve. Some patients feel significant improvements relatively quickly, which is fantastic however this does not mean they are better yet.

The pain is usually the last thing to come and the first thing to go. It is so important to adhere to the treatment plan as although the pain may have gone the underlying problem is still there and requires further attention.

We ask that you give as much notice as possible when cancelling appointments. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice and we are unable to fill your appointment, you may still be charged.

What is Chiropractic, and How Does it Work?

Philosophy: We believe strongly in preventative healthcare strategies. We try and help you to make your health as good as possible. Our aim is for you to be fit, healthy and living the life you want to lead. Following a full assessment, together we identify a common goal to work towards.

Chiropractic is a straight forward method of adjusting the bones of your body to improve the alignment of your skeleton, and through this process help the nervous system to work more efficiently. The purpose of chiropractic care is to realign and rebalance your body to relieve pain and discomfort, and increase mobility.
A misalignment of the joints can occur for many reasons; some of the most common are incorrect lifting, car or sporting accidents, falls, stress, and poor posture. This can lead to pain, numbness, pins and needles, or restricted mobility.

I recommend a 3 stage structured treatment plan.

The Chiropractor’s first goal is to get you out of pain and this can happen relatively quickly. My aim then is to get correct function within the joint and then introduce exercises which will include strengthening and for you to prevent the problem returning and also offer every patient maintenance appointments. Maintenance is where patients have an adjustment every month to 3 months to keep the joints moving freely to prevent the problem from reoccurring. Maintenance appointments plus regular strength exercises will help you maintain good spinal health.

If you adhere to the treatment plan, do the exercises that your chiropractor advises and have regular checkups you could prevent the problem from reoccurring and as your nervous system is enabled to work to its full potential you can look forward to years of feeling great.

Some patient’s express that they have a lot more energy, symptoms like heart burn, period pain and irritable bowel syndrome have improved, they express that they generally feel better and that they are pain free.

Please send us a testimonial to express your experience with Hampshire Chiropractic and will include it on our testimonial paper to spread the word and help others. Chiropractic: ( we don’t just fix backs and Necks!)

    • The nature of your condition
    • How long you have had the problem
    • What you do following treatment

    How much will it cost?

It depends on what is wrong with you and how long you have had the condition. We are covered by BUPA/PPP and Simply Health insurance policies to name a few. (Please check with your insurance company before making an appointment). The chiropractors can give you a more appropriate answer when they have examined you. Yes, we treat the information you provide with complete confidence.

    What next?

When the initial goal has been achieved, many patients continue to attend at regular intervals, in order to maintain their improved function and pain-free state.

If you are worried about your issue recurring and would like to work towards strengthening muscles and joints or increasing flexibility and range of movement then rehabilitation may be an option for you.

Rehabilitation or ‘rehab’ is a course of exercise therapy that is built around your specific needs and ability. This will be discussed during your treatment depending on your requirements.

The World Health Organisation philosophy, we believe that good health is not just the absence of pain or disease, but a positive sense of physical, emotional and mental well-being. The more balanced the body is, the better it will cope with the stresses of daily living, as well as with unexpected trauma.
